How to explore the outdoors with confidence! - Clinic (Indoor Clinic Stage Area)
This presentation shares why its so important for kids (of all ages) to spend more time in nature, and how to find the resources needed to do so with confidence. With so many residents having grown up in other states they are unsure where the can go, what there is to do, and how to connect with other people. The obvious choices are local trails and campgrounds that are crowded and unfortunately often abused. Prices of many outdoor attractions and activities are becoming less affordable. More parents would like to get their kids off their phones/social media and to socialize with kids their own age but they don't know how or where they can get the kids involved in outdoor activities. We'd like to introduce them to the over 250 organizations that offer free or nearly free events all across the state and all the other resources they need to know to recreate responsibly!
